No chance to do over

A crystal tower that reaches infinitely into the sky, touching the sun
Those within seek to change everything for the better
Calling forth an eclipse
Watching as it removes the light from above
They thought it was for the greater good
But they were wrong
One who was there returns from that which is to come
Warnings fall on his younger deaf ears
On our younger ears
I feel it
A black spiralling element
Just next to the space by my heart
With it, the dawning realisation of how foolish he was and this truth – “You can’t change the past, only yourself in the now.”
